#DumbDonald and the "Rust Belt"


Donald Trump wrote this tweet:


The "Rust Belt" was a nickname given to the area that encompasses Pittsburgh and the Ohio Valley.  Pittsburgh and other cities produced steel that helped build this country with bridges, boats, trains and buildings.

Trump may want to read some history about Pittsburgh and especially the role Pittsburgh played in WWII and about the plant in Ambridge, PA that built the LST Boats which played an important part in WWII.  Public Invited to Welcome USS LST-325 Ship Memorial in Ambridge .

"The Duck" debut in U.S. at the Point--Pittsburgh, PA.

"The Duck" has arrived in Pittsburgh. The Duck made it's American debut this September in Pittsburgh. I was able to visit The Duck and here are a few pictures:

Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh's past was thought of as the "smokey city". It's steel mills filled the air with smoke and soot, but no longer. Pittsburgh has had the honor of being voted "The Most Liveable City" many times lately. This is a stunning photo of what Pittsburgh is today. Pittsburgh: The North American City of Lights.

Zachary Quinto has COME OUT!

Quinto, who is of half-Italian and half-Irish descent,[1] was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in Green Tree, Pennsylvania, with his mother Margo and his brother Joe.[2] His father, John, who was a barber, died of cancer when Quinto was 7 years old.[3] He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1995, where he participated in their musicals and won the Gene Kelly Award for Best Supporting Actor, and then attended Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, from which he graduated in 1999.[4][5]

In a NY Magazine article in the October 17, 2011 edition, on-line now, Zachary Quinto stated that he is a gay man.  Zachary commented that the recent stories of gay suicides and in particular Jamey Rodemeyer has compelled him to definitively come out.  Zachary Quinto played Spock in the Star Trek movie and has played gay roles in Tori Spelling's "so noTORIous" and in the Broadway revival of "Angels in America".
